 The production of telecommunication equipment requires high
level of precision with the most advanced facility and highly trained engineers. Placing
customer and quality first and foremost, Sungmi Telecom 's entire staff has continued to
enforce TQM (Total Quality Management) which was introduced in 1992 to satisfy customer
needs to the best of its ability.
In an effort to attain higher quality and diversity of products, Sungmi Telecom has
implemented an on-line, Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) linking everything from
R&D, circuit design, production, and shipment to after servicing, which has earned us
the trust and approval of our customers.
In
addition, with our efforts to attain the goal of complete quality assurance, Sungmi
Telecom became the first in the nation to acquire ISO-9001 Certification for Quality
Assurance from both UL of the U.S.A. and KSA-QA of Korea in June, 1994. In recognition for
Sungmi Telecom's efforts in training its employees on quality product development, the
company was honoured with a Presidential Plaque in the 1st Industry Capability Development
and Promotion Contest sponsored by the Ministry of Labour in 1997.
In addition
to these measures, Sungmi Telecom has constructed and integrated information system within
the company, and introduced computerization of the Research Division as well as Quality
Inspection System, striving for greater administrative efficiency and reform. The Total
Quality Management System will continue to be strengthened to provide better quality for
greater customer satisfaction.
