Sungmi Telecom has developed and
supplied all types of Digital PCM Multiplexing equipment
and Repeaters to domestic and foreign telephone service
providers. The PCM Multiplexer and Repeaters(Both
responding to the European standard and American standard)
are used to connect between telephone stations to
facilitate communications at the local, long-distance and
international level. In addition to the telephone service,
the equipment provides a wide variety of data services,
allowing Sungmi Telecom to contribute to the modernization
of the nation's telecommunication network.
Sungmi Telecom has also developed and supplied
Multiplexing equipment for 24/30 channels of voice and
data, as well as Multiplexing equipment with 672 channels,
Remote Power Surveillance System(RMT-SV), and Digital Clock
Supply System(DOTS) solving not only the problem of
communications backlog, but contributing to the work of
improving the communications quality by telephone. More
specifically, Sungmi Telecom has contributed to the work of
fully automating the nationwide telephone system in 1987,
providing technical support during the Seoul 1988 Olympic
Games, and aiding in the facilitation of a national system
of simultaneous printing and distribution of newspapers in
1993.
In 1995, Sungmi Telecom spearheaded the
construction of the nation's first multimedia trial network
using the ISDN for long distance education and developed a
Video Conference System as well as supply various equipment
for the restoration
of communications when natural disasters strike. With these
and other contributions, Sungmi Telecom has left a lasting
mark in the nation's Wire transmission field. Furthermore,
in CATV Broadcasting, Sungmi Telecom has contributed to
greater activity in broadcasting by singularly supplying
22.5 Mbps capacity Video Signal Converting equipment(CODEC)
for Cable TV network
Sungmi Telecom has been
providing distinct product development and priority
customer service in the field of wire transmission, raising
the overall level of customer confidence. Recently, Sungmi
Telecom has been exerting its efforts to satisfy the
increasingly sophisticated and diverse needs of subscribers
with the development and
supply of the next generation of ATM-MUX compatible with
ATM switching networks. In addition to these, Sungmi is
involved in the development and supply of Internet Phone
Gateway System for the rapidly growing Internet
Service market in addition to ADSL, DSL Lite which provide
voice/data/video and other Multimedia Services through
existing telephone lines for everyone from consumers to
business users. |
